Kids and Middles classes are 75 minutes. Teen and Adult classes are 90 minutes.

OUR APPROACH
We love beginners! You have to start somewhere. We’re not a “normal” gym. We mostly teach people how to move like we did before there were gyms. We’re constantly developing and experimenting. Our toolset is ever-expanding. It is our passion to share the process. It’s common for our Parkour classes to also draw from other methods and modalities like Art Du Deplacement, Freerunning, Natural Movement, Ido Portal Method, Fighting Monkey, Animal Flow, Gymnastics, Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Acrobatics and more. Start in any class!

CAMPS
Parkour was in every one of us as a kid – climbing trees and everything in the house (sometimes even the house itself), launching off swing sets, finding games and challenges with friends, and jumping over cracks in the sidewalk. Urban Movement Camp is a great way for kids to focus their energy in a fun and practical way, in a safe environment, making new friends. They’ll move their body in new ways and be shown that they’re capable of more than they ever thought possible! Students will be split up into groups based on age and skill level and challenged appropriately with their peers.
** Refund Policy: Our camps often sell out, so please be sure of your schedule before booking. In order to receive a refund for camp, cancellation must be made more than 2 weeks before the start date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the start date will only be eligible for a credit. Cancellations on the day of or through lack of attendance, NO refund will be issued.
WORKSHOPS
Workshops are often taught by our certified and experienced team of coaches. We’re also known for hosting other instructors from all over the world to bring their skills and knowledge to our neck of the woods. The movement community is huge. It’s important to draw from many styles to find and create your own. That is the meaning of our mantra, “Make your own path.”
Sometimes the workshops are skill-specific and last a couple of hours. Other times, we’ve had workshops last anywhere from 1-5 days. We’ll always do our best to keep our schedule page updated with our latest events, but you can also follow our social media channels to find some complementary information out there. Our FaceBook Events Page will also help guide you to nutritious information about the positive growth that’s happening around the world of movement.
Parties
An Urban Movement party is always an awesome learning experience! We mess around and play some games because fun is definitely an underlying essence of our training, but safety is still our top priority. Students still have to learn some beginner moves before exploring the rest of the gym. So, we go over the basics with some of our expert instruction first, set the tone, warm up together and train a bit. Then, free time! A Parkour Party is a great way to bond as a group, learn to overcome obstacles together, and celebrate life with movement. Even the parents join in sometimes. Most parties are spent with the entire two hours being led by Urban Movement coaches, but you’re more than welcome to include time for food, cake, and opening presents. Please let us know ahead of time which you prefer and we’ll make it happen!

Yes. All new students should register online here before coming to their first class.
Yes. All members should download our Zen Planner app. It’s easily available on the iTunes Store or Google Play. If you have trouble logging in, any UMOVE coach can help you get access. Once it’s done it’s super easy to use.
No. In order for each student to maximize the benefits of our programming for each class throughout the week, it’s important that only one class be taken per day. One class a day is plenty!

All cancellations require 30 days notice. If you are OUTSIDE of the agreed-upon term of membership, you may cancel with the amount of notice spelled out on your membership agreement for any reason. You can cancel in gym with a manager by giving the appropriate notice, filling out a cancellation form and paying a prorated amount to stop your billing. You will get a copy of the form as a receipt that the process is complete. We will cancel the membership based on the appropriate amount of days notice, collect a pro-rate, and stop your billing.
If you are INSIDE your first year of membership, you may cancel with appropriate notice (specified on your membership agreement) for the following reasons: relocation, medical or job loss.
RELOCATION: If you relocate more than 25 miles away from any Urban Movement, you may cancel your membership with proof of relocation, such as a utility bill, lease or deed to a house, or a letter from your human resources department stating you have been relocated to another region.
MEDICAL: If your doctor finds you medically unable to workout for more than six months, we will just need a letter from your physician. They do NOT need to give us specifics, just their medical opinion that you are unable to work out for at least six months. You may deliver this note in person to your club’s General Manager and fill out a cancellation form, or you may send the doctor’s note with your request that your membership be canceled to your home club. Please include your most recent contact information in case we need to follow up with you.
Otherwise, if you cancel INSIDE the term for any other reason there will be a fee charged of 50% of the remaining balance.
